BUFFY
Creatures of Habit

If you think raves are all about body-moving mixes and late-night fun, then you haven't been raving lately in Sunnydale. An old and resourceful chum of Spike's has just shown up, and he's getting every teenager in town to trip the night fantastic at his very special after-hours parties. Buffy Summers, recently raised from the dead, feels disconnected from her former life, but she finds that she still gets kicks wandering the night, hunting for vampires to stake. It's a welcome distraction from her sister, who's making her first tentative steps into the exciting world of juvenile deliquency--which is more treacherous in Sunnydale than most places. With glo-sticks glowing and the blood of innocents flowing, a euphoric feeding frenzy has crept into Sunnydale's undead nightlife.

Time Period: Events take place between All the Way and Once More, With Feeling.
Author: Tom Fassbender and Jim Pascoe
Starring: Buffy, Willow, Xander, Tara, Anya, Dawn, Spike, and Giles.
Supporting Cast: Parnassus, Velatti, Melinda, Skeeter.
Review: Although the book seems a little sketchy, it's an illustrated adult novel (definitely not for the kiddies). Teens and adults will like it--more teens because it centric on Dawn at the start of the novel. It deals with all the problems leading up to OMWF, including Willow's magick use, Tara being pushed back, Xander and Anya's wedding problems, Buffy attempting to ease back into things, and Spike beginning to want more from Buffy. And it all fits into the Buffyverse. Parnassus and Velatti are both bad ass vampires, and are fascinating vampires (which was something that season six lacked). It's a perfect novel. 4 stars.
