Bio: First mentioned in Graduation Day Part I by Anya, lohesh was a four-winged soul killer. A magician ascended to become a pure demon (in the embodiment of the demon lohesh) and after it was destroyed, all of the lohesh demons were killed off, in fear of the creature raising up again. Unfortunately, an egg from the pure-demon lohesh was hidden and produced a powerful lohesh demon, and by this time it was the only remaining lohesh demon, so it became the Lohesh.
Now, for unknown reasons, Lohesh is going after the Doomed Vampire, Jerrold, and has managed to band together a group of vampires within the Sunnydale area, including the vampire Damien and the psychic vampire Kali. Lohesh weilds a powerful sword, and hasn't actually fought Jerrold in a battle yet. Lohesh will be going after Jerrold for awhile, and his intentions will be revealed. From what the Wolfram & Hart lawyer, Leo, has stated, the demon seeks Jerrold because he will open some sort of Gateway.
