One moment of bliss with Buffy Summers, and Angel has returned to his murderous ways. The first to die is Jenny Calendar, Rupert Giles' lover. Now the corpse of a demonic samuria comes across the sea to Sunnydale, promising ultimate power for whoever revives it. An apocalypse is brewing over the Hellmouth, with Angel and Buffy on opposite sides!
Doug Petrie, writer from the TV series, brings his intimate knowledge of the characters to a new artform, in his first graphic novel. Together with Ryan Sook, the acclaimed artist of the Spike and Dru series, Petrie presents a massive vision, too epic for the small screen.
Time Period: Events take place directly after Innocence
Author: Doug Petrie

Supporting Cast: Oz, Kendra, Spike, and Drusilla.
Review: In this graphic novel, taking place right after the death of Jenny Calendar, tells of an untold story dealing with Angelus and Dru seeking the ultimate power of a demon--while Giles and the other Scoobies continue to mourn over the death of Jenny. Many things that were never brought up on the show are brought up here--including the return of Kendra! All in all, the story was all right. It was written by none other than Douglas Petrie, who was an excellent writer for Season Three, unfortunately this is Season Two which he wasn't a part of so there is some continuity issues (i.e.: Why is Willow doing magicks in this S2 book? Also, Kendra is talking a lot differently in this book.). Another that bugs me is Byan Sook's illustrating. I can tell who's who, but it's somewhat annoying. But other than that, it's a good read. I give it a 3.
